Great result for BASC Swimmers at Ren 96 Meet

Twelve BASC swimmers from across Bronze, Silver and Gold squads swam over the weekend at the Ren96 meet at the Linwood Sports Hub. It was a very successful meet for BASC with a total of 18 medal places and some very impressive PB’s being set.

Medal positions went to the following:
Alice Knight; Silver for 11-12 yrs 100m & 200m Breast as well as 200m Back. Alice also won a Bronze for her 100m Back.
Dylan Christie; Gold for 11-12yrs 200m Breast and 3 Bronze places for 200m & 400m Free and 200m Back
Sarah Coffey; won 3 Golds for 11-12yrs 100m & 400m Free and 50m Back
Liam Murphy; Bronze for 11-12yrs 100m Fly
Fionnlagh McGuire; Silver for 8-10yrs 50m Back & Bronze in 100m IM & 50m Free
Abbie Keeble; Gold for 11-12yrs 50m Fly
Cara Farqhuarson; won 2 Golds for 100m & 200m Breast

A few exceptional PB’s to mention include:
Sarah Coffey managed to set a new PB for her 400m Free by a whooping 65.66 secs!
Alice Knight best her previous 400m Free by 43.69 secs, and Liam Murphy by 41.61 secs in the same event. Cameron Hayden improved his 200m Free by 22.68 secs.
